SPK Next-of-Kin Withdrawal


When a Member is deceased, the Administrator Nominee appointed prior to the death of the Member or a Complainant (immediate family) and Beneficiary can make the application for the withdrawal of the deceased Member's SPK Member Account balance.


When a Member is deceased:


  • If a Member has appointed Administrator Nominee, the first Administrator can directly make withdrawal application for the deceased Member's account balance.


  • The responsibility of the appointed Administrator is to fairly distribute the balance withdrawn to the rightful beneficiaries according to Faraid for the Muslim members or will for the non-Muslim members.

  • If a Member never appointed Administrator Nominee while he or she was alive, an immediate family would have to make a report to TAP by filling in a SPK Next-of-Kin Complainant form  TAP will provide a letter for the Complainant submit to the Probate Office   Probate Office will provide an Administration Appointment Letter of who the beneficiary is as the Administrator to distribute the wealth of the deceased according  only the appointed beneficiary by the Probate Office will make the withdrawal application for the SPK Member's Account balance.


  • If the deceased Member never appointed an Administrator Nominee, the period of withdrawal will depend on the proceedings between the deceased Member's next-of-kin and the Probate Office.

Administrator Nominee,  a Complainant (immediate family), Beneficiary

100% of the Member Account Balance.

Payment Method

Paid in

lump sum

to the deceased Member's appointed Administrator.

Documents Required

Ensure the documents required are complete before proceed with submission.

 A complete withdrawal application form.


Application by Administrator Nominee:

  1. Copy of deceased Member’s Identity Card.

  2. Copy of deceased Member Death Certificate.

  3. Copy of the Nominee's Identity Card.

  4. Copy of the latest bank account statement or bank book of the applicant.



Without Administrator Nominee:

Complainant reporting of Member's Death:

  1. Copy of deceased Member’s Identity Card.

  2. Copy of deceased Member Death Certificate.

  3. Copy of the Complainant's Identity Card.

Note: Letter from TAP will be released to Complainant to be submitted to Probate Office for appointment of Administrator (Administration Appointment Letter).


Application to TAP by Beneficiary (Beneficiary appointed by the Probate Office as appointed Administrator):

  1. Copy of Administration Appointment Letter from the Probate Office.

  2. Copy of deceased Member Death Certificate and Identity Card.

  3. Copy of the Beneficiary's (Administrator's) Identity Card.

  4. Copy of the Beneficiary's (Administrator's) latest bank account statement or bank book of the applicant. 

  5. Copy of 'Fara'id' Certificate from Syariah Court (if any).


Note:

The complainant and beneficiary appointed may not be the same person.

The beneficiary will only be entitled to the savings of the deceased after the Administration Appointment Letter is released from the Probate Office.
